I just purchased a 2003 LS 430 with only 90k miles. Everything seems to be working correctly except for two things on the same rear passenger door.
I know the motors for the locks go out, so I ordered one of those but the window will not go down either. The door will not open at all from the inside and the lock is flimsy and doesn't engage as locked or unlocked. I have not seen both of these in a single door in all my searching.
Could these be related or do I just need to change the lock motor AND the window regulator?
Other than that this car is fantastic and I am very happy.
I got in the motor to repair the lock actuator on the passenger rear door and I took everything apart and it appears the housing has been apoxyed together, so the previous owner has had a run at this.
After I put everything back together again, now the locks on all the doors will lock then unlock every time which is probably why the previous owner took out the fuse for the passenger rear door.
I just purchased a whole other actuator to see if replacing that will fix my issues.
Figured out the issue.
1. I am dumb and flipped the cables for the door lock. White goes on top, green goes on bottom.
2. I had to get in and close all doors and the lock reset itself after I got it right and hit the lock/unlock button a few times.
3. Looks like I bought and actuator and motor that I didn't ultimately need right now.
