Steering Lock Keeps Locking
Alright so I posted a long message a couple days ago but I'm making a new thread because most of the information in there is in fact useless. To sum it up the other day my steering wheel locked but putting my key in the ignition did not unlock it and my key broke. I thought I was having an immobiliser issue after I was able to unlock it but the car cranked with no start, but then I realized the key battery was likely too far away from the ECU. Anyways, My steering lock keeps engaging regardless of how I park and the old wiggle only works after 20 mins of trying. I think it has more to do with the switch in the ignition (not ignition switch) that disengages the steering lock or something in that system.
Does anyone have any literature (diagrams, TSB's, Service manual pages, etc.) or just information about what may specifically be the issue tht they can share? Also how exactly would I even get to the ignition cylinder? I can remove the cover on the part of the steering column close to me but only one because one screw is hidden by the wheel that won't turn.
I can send video if needed as well.

If your LS 430 is parked on a slope, and the front wheels are not angled properly (such as in the direction of the slope), your LS 430 ignition WILL NOT WORK. The car automatically locks up the ignition, and the car will not start until you have reoriented the front wheels. This can occur on a slight incline of around 15 degrees, and all the way likely to 40. 45 degrees...To resolve the ignition lockup (and indeed, no amount of twisting or key-insertion will turn the ignition on), one must have one's foot on the brake, rotate the front wheels from side to side, until a safe wheel angle is achieved. Then, turn the ignition slowly; if it is still stuck, redo the wheels. Once the car has detected a safe wheel position, the car ignition will work normally and you can drive off--safely.
