Default Stuck in Park sometimes

Hi all! I recently had my torque converter seal replaced in my transmission which stopped the leak I had. It, of course, required removal of the transmission to do so. Since then a couple times, it's gotten stuck in Park. I have been able to wiggle it around to get going, but I am looking for suggestions on the culprit. Could it be slightly out of adjustment shift linkage? If so, is there a tutorial anywhere on how to adjust? Could it be something else like a failing neutral safety switch? Any advice appreciated.

Try pumping the brake next time your transmission cannot get out of "P". The brake light switch must be engaged for the transmission to get out of "P".

The next thing to check is the lever adjustment. Below is the relevant page from the repair manual.

If you had it recently rebuilt.....take it back to the shop.

Thanks for the feedback. I ordered a brake light switch. It wasn't rebuilt, I just had the torque converter seal replaced.

Could be a shift linkage mis-alignment issue
