This is great - look at that temp screen - wow - nice work.
The Canbus says LS460 - so is that the way to do this?
And was the wiring pretty straight forward?
Thx
Edit - do you still have the protected screen film on it? That plastic tab at the top looks like the screen protector?
Yes the factory protective film is still on it. I haven't had a chance to take it off and install the new anti glare one.
That is the correct setting for canbus.
Wiring is pretty straight forward, not much to it. Kind of self explanatory. Main harness that plugs into existing harness, CD/Cassette, Teyes and canbus. There is a small connector that's on the main harness that plugs into Teyes. Another harness that plugs into Teyes on one side and has RCA inputs on the other end for sound input from stock setup. Everything else is optional, USB cables, 5.1 output, Except the canbus, 2 plugs that can plug in, and of course I plugged in the wrong one.
Few connectors are not used, I cut and capped those to keep it clean. It comes with 2 USB cables, 3 total USB, I only used 1. Also I didn't use the 5.1 RCA outputs, because my amp is already wired and it works just fine.
It comes with 4g, 5g, and GPS antennas. AM/FM will need to be purchased separately and most likely will need an adapter to plug ti in Teyes. I ordered the adapter.
Spent a lot of time configuring the unit, i'll add everything in my write up. Had to do factory reset, and find the correct settings. Info is out there, but spent a lot of time looking for it and playing around.
Everything works, steering wheel controls, AC, cd player, even the oscillating vents. Sound quality is better than OEM
It's fast, it boots up quick from sleep, few seconds. No lagging on the touch screen, apps open immediately, carplay works.
I'm still tinkering with, trying to see all the stuff it has.
one thing I should mention is that I ordered a different fascia. The one supplied by Teyes is too grey and too shiny. Also the screen sticks out too much. The one I ordered is a better match, far from perfect but better than Teyes, and screen sits flush.

Looks great. Realized you were talking about not having the antenna for radio. Are you planning on trying to use the OEM antenna in trunk? I just bought a $6 from amazon and plugged in and ran wire with reverse camera. That way I have both radios. Neither wire or antenna is visible.

You have a link for Amazon?
So you utilized the Lexus antenna with an Amazon purchased connector?
By the way everyone- the Teyes unit goes on sale tomorrow morning LINK

Great job and look forward to seeing your notes when you are finished. I see that your canbus is an LZ(HZ). Did i give you the name of the canbus? I wonder if purchasing that type of canbus would help those of us whose AC app is not working.

Thanks, I'm really happy with it.
Yeah I bought the antenna but the banana plug on it is too big and it doesn't plug in to Teyes. I found an adapter on Amazon so I will plug that in and run it together with reverse camera wire to the back window.

It's what came with the unit. If the app is not working it could be the problem, but it could be settings too.
My unit was a mess when I first turned it on. Language was Russian, I've had no AC app, it wouldn't recognize the canbus, no matter what I did it wouldn't display the AC app.
It took me couple of hours to get everything straightened out. Had to change the language, then restore to factory settings, select the canbus, reboot, go into settings and under original car agreement I had to select the AC information on. Also had to go Touch Assistant (don't know what this is called on other units), enable the AC protocol, and select start automatically. Reboot, then AC showed up on display, but wasn't working.
I had wrong canbus selected, finally selected LS460 and it worked, everything worked.
Try going to settings and see if your canbus is acknowledged by the unit.
It should be similar like on Teyes. --- Settings --> System --> About Device --> Scroll to CAN Protocol Version and see what it says. If it's unknown, its not reading it.
That's great a heck of a lot cheaper than my $6 one but looks the same. You will find that when you shove it up top back center windshield it makes it invisible by being in dark area of windshield. My can bus every time I changed the car I had to be connected to internet and downloaded different car apps for each one and mine works best set on Crown. One thing to point out is I tried unpluging the dvd unit in trunk but apparently the can bus network goes through it so had to leave hooked up. All these Chinese units work a little different but am glad they are there to upgrade antiquated electronics and make it look factory. Great job figuring out what needing doing to get working.
I found this video on how to get the AC to work with the android head unit. I haven't tried it yet but thought I would put it out there to see if anyone wants to give it a try. I just got mine put back together and don't want to pull it apart just yet. Let us know if you try it...
I would not advise anyone to alter the wiring. It's one thing to possibly damage unit but risking damaging the Lexus system could be a nightmare. Maybe for you to get your AC app working is a setting like other has said. Hope you get it solved. Another question for you have you been able to get into the factory menu as there are settings in there?

I wouldn't do that. If your AC and heat work but you don't see the temp that's not the problem.
it's most likely the canbus settings or the app itself. try playing with canbus or searching through the device settings and see what options are there. I had to dig through a lot of things to get mine going correctly.
1. AC controls work but to adjust the individual temp you must use the buttons on the dash. In my friends car the temp setting does show but can not be adjusted on the screen.
2. Yes for CD, never tested the tape player.
3. The parking assist did show up on the screen for me. I was surprised when it did it while I was intentionally getting close to a light pole.
4. Never tried it.
5. Yes, but you must set the subwoofer level how you want it before installing the android head unit because I did not find a way to adjust that on the Android.
6. There were questions about how to reset the cabin filter change notification without the factory head unit installed (never figured that out). Either the defogger or defroster didn't work, I can't remember which because it's not my car. Other people report the defogger and defroster working fine with theirs so maybe I messed up with one of the plugs. The AC control app did not appear until I connected the head unit to WiFi so it could download the appropriate AC app. The EKIY unit I installed came with GPS and 4G antennas but no FM antenna. I didn't bother connecting an FM antenna because FM radio wasn't desired.
While I was impressed with the fit and functionality of the android unit, for myself in my own LS430 I'll either be doing something entirely custom, or a Grom. I would have already gotten a Grom but it irks me to pay so much money for android hardware that is very outdated (only 2gb of memory and Android 8).
@DrVlikhell
there’s a AliExpress version of a grom unit from what I have read it works like a grom unit and is cheaper, only downside it doesn’t have the specs
