to answer your question, no. This thing is a luxury barge, and shall we say, not well suited to tossing around on a track.
Maybe to you guys but I have deffinetly raced a few people with my car, if you change the suspension of the car it handles very well completely different animal. You have not seen my build of my car have you lol =)
Since it is my thread I will start off I ended up getting followed by a honda s2000 one thing led to another and we ended up running, we were pretty even untill about 80mph then from 80-115 I began to pull away from him, I let off at 115 because the race was clearly over he followed me for a bit longer then we went our separate ways, met him a couple days later at a gas station and we were talking about cars and stuff pretty cool guy, he wants to do a 2jz conversion with a 67mm turbo.
Cool story but there is no way your LS will not outrun a S2000 on the highway. The other driver is likelyto have simply decided 80 mph was his safety limit and took his foot off the gas.
Also, regardless of what you did to your LS suspension, it would never out corner an S2000, unless the S2000 driver was a poor driver ( maybe just got his licence )
You can believe what you want.

I never said it could out corner a s2000 and it all depends on the driver. Also I never said it was on a highway it was a straight away that has a slight downhill to it so yah man a bone stock s2000 vs a heavily modded ls430 it's completely possible. I am not saying I blew his doors off it was pretty even and I pulled away a little bit at the higher speeds that's all I said.
Did you mean theres no way it would outrun it
or it would?
I have no experience racing my LS, but I have spent a good amount of time driving a friends stock S2000.
My car is not modified and there is no way my car is faster than his. It would not be a close race under any conditions.
If your car is faster than the S2000 you raced then you have a hella fast LS ..... drive safe.

It never ceases to amaze me how much forum posts change as a certain generations of models get older.
What do you mean? I am not trying to be rude I don't understand what your saying lol I am 26 i have always worked on cars and raced them I hang out with people that do the same it's just my thing I guess.
I think the LS group is more of an older group of owners. Not older, but mature. LS owners usually treasure the Luxurious ride that it has to offer and aren’t really into speed, racing, “kill stories”.
Most LS owner love how the car drives from factory. I think what they’re trying to say is......you’re making this forum turn into Honda-tech.
