Default window express reset?

Good morning! My right front window goes all the way up in express mode then kicks back down about halfway. I understand that there is a sequence to reset the window memory. Has anyone had same issue and if so how was issue resolved? The window operates fine except for the express up.

Try rolling window down about 3/4. Then hold the window control button in roll up position for about 10 seconds (continue holding after window has rolled up completely). If that doesn't work, reverse the sequence. 1/4 window down, then hold control button for 10 seconds in down position.

Did not work. I hear a beep in the rf door when I use the window switch. The window express setting just stopped working for no apparent reason. The beep seems to be coming from either the control module or glass regulator.

It may be a bad switch or ... ? Does it work in the normal (nor express) position up and down? You may want to try taking the switch out disconnecting it, then re-connecting it. Very easy. Use tape on tip of screwdriver to pry switch panel up at rear of switch.

There are several CL threads on this. Here's one: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-...ow-switch.html

I had the opposite with my back seat passenger side window. Only auto worked at that seat. The switch is very easy to remove and take apart. Mine had a little plastic clip broken which was preventing button from rocking across the contacts properly. A little super glue and 2 hours later she is working like new. Saves about $75 for a new switch.

The complete switch assembly is widely available used for $75 or so. You can easily swap your wood grain switch surround onto the replacement part.

That is cheap for the drivers master. The individual switch is about $70 new. You don't need the wood or assembly. Switch just pops out and you can replace or fix. They are very easy to disassemble and fix as I mentioned.

Follow steps 3 & 4 in this link (do not remove the screw shown in step 4) to remove the old switch assembly: http://www.lexls.com/tutorials/body/fdoorpanel.html.
