Exclamation Need coilover consultation, please

Hey peeps,
Hope all is going on good and everyone enjoying their break.

Anyways, I have been stuck to my laptop for the past 2 weeks researching coilovers for my '06 LS430 with a gazillion tabs left open every day . I've talked to a lot of guys, and I must show appreciation for their time and their feedback.

Before I just made a blunt post, I have honed down my options. My budget is $1000. So air was out of the way, although wish air setups weren't this crazy expensive reaching 3000 $$ easy.

Top 4 best coilover options: (according to my research)

1- BC Racing Suspension BR coilovers = $960 shipped
*Custom spring rates
*30 levels of dampening adjustment
*Pillowball upper mount

2- Megan Racing coilovers = $899 shipped
*Spring Rates: 12kg Front and 8kg Rear
*32 levels of dampening adjustment
*Pillow Ball Upper Mounts

3- D2 Racing RS coilovers = $950 shipped
*Custom Spring Rates
*36 levels of dampening adjustment
*Pillow Ball Upper Mounts

4- Function Form Type II = $825 shipped
* Spring Rate: Front-14Kg Rear-10Kg
*32 levels of dampening adjustment
*Pillow Ball Upper Mounts

Anyone in this field, I would love what you have to say about any of these or all of them. Your critique is much appreciated.

How low is each set willing to go?
What is the best quality product? Company?
Most durable and life lasting?

Your opinions matter. Real life experience is always the best to look for.
I will make my decision based on what we can come up out of this post. Again, good critique fellas.

Thank you!

Bc's will be your best bet if your going with price wise and comfort. also BC allows you to go with custom spring rates. That you must do further research on how low/comfort/ etc you want. hope that helps a bit.

Hope to see some of your results when you have them installed!
Yeah, it's a heck of lot of research to do on such an important part. Thanks for the advice.

Is the car in your picture on BC's? It's sitting pretty good, looks nice

How low do the BC's go down? I don't wanna get them and be disappointed with the drop. Even though I don't want to slam my car, I'd like to have that option if I ever think about it. Would suck if I get the BC's and then find out I can only go a few inches low.
I mean can it even tuck OEM tires?

Thanks for keeping a lookout. There is a fellow here with BC's+Swift springs. Might pull the gun on that setup. Will keep researching and fishing for feedback from users a little bit more.

Can BC's ever go this low?

This is Ce3kay's car: (let me know if you don't want me to have it in the post)?

I've had fuction/form type 2 coil overs on my ls for about a year now. they can go extremely low. they ride decent at a pretty low drop. I've recently slammed it even more and the rear is starting to ride a little stiff. i blew both front struts in the middle of the year. and it feel like the rears are starting to go out also. to be honest I'm in the market for new suspension.

Thanks for the great feedback on the function form coilovers. I know not many people have them installed, at least not many people I've talked to.

Do you have a harsh driving routine? Did they blow themselves I mean?

I'd appreciate if you can post a pic of how low they can go. Thanks man.
