Upper part of tail light assembly out. Any ideas??

I don't believe the 04-06 taillights are serviceable, as they utilize LED boards.

There may be a work around, but it would be an extremely involved and complex DIY affair requiring cutting the housing open and investigating the LED board itself.

yeah, you have to replace the whole housing. If you do service it yourself, it might be a pain and not worth it.

thought the 04' models did'nt have LED tail lamps, just 05'-06'?

it is really weird with 04, half and half. It was the first year of the newer style tail and headlight. and the last year of the old style. i hope this makes sense.
