Sup guys,

Got a question about doing a tail light conversion on a 05 Sc430.
When ordering the led tails, does it include the top red reflector light,
cant I just use the existing piece on the 05 and use the led tails?
Will it not work, I noticed there is a slight color difference between the 05 and 06, but beside that will it still work?

Hey Sexus - Have you done the tail light conversions on your '05? I wanna do the conversions on my '04 too.

 

The shape of the bottom portion of the '02-'05 reflectors are different. The portion of the reflector that butts up against the actuall taillight is a different curveature. I used my '02 reflectors but filled in the gap with fiberglass and then covered with tail lense repair film. Looks pretty good and saved me a couple hundred bucks.

I have an account as a wholesaler with my local Lexus dealership. I think the tails were about $200 each.

 

wow its been a while the last time I was on here. Decided not to pursue the tail light conversion after all, just smoked them out. thanks again for the replies.
