I'm New & Need Help!!!!
I am new to this Forum & I have no idea what I'm doing yet....I just posted above that I just bought a beautiful 2004 LS 430. I'm female & bought this on my own, & I think I got a great deal. I've been driving a 1994 ES 300 that was my son's, so time for an upgrade. This is what I posted, & I answered someone's question b/c I don't know how this works yet:

Had mechanic check it out & all is well except for electrical on passenger door. Passed smog check, no prob.
Maybe someone will see this & tell me how much they think it will cost to get the electrical fixed on the passenger door....all the other doors work. I just have to slide the key out to open the front door.
I actually began looking @ 3 months ago & prices were a LOT higher. The guy I bought it from was the original owner & I have all the records. He wanted only $15,000 (I think he needed the $) but we settled at $12,800. Everything works: Navigation, CD, & there is SO much to learn about this car & I'm just getting started, Is what I paid a competitive price?

Thanks for the info @ door actuator. I have a mechanic who will probably give me a good price. I also think I'll get windows tinted, & then I'm good to go.
I don't think I want to resell! This car is in great condition & not a ding on it....everyone asks me if it's new.

Thanks, AlexusAnja....I have a mechanic who will hopefully give me a good price. I figured I had an electrical problem, but good to have the knowledge of "door actuator." Thx!!

Gotta make time to take some pix!
I park underground & it's very dark, so as soon as I get it up on the street I will take some pix--outside & in--& post in My Garage. I've had it for 1 month now, & 3 huge manuals came with it. I have to refer to a 2nd & 3rd manual b/c of Navigation system/Audio....there is so much about this car I still have to learn. I feel like I'm back in college!!!!

So great you got an extended warranty. Coming from a PP, mine did not come with one, & if they ever had a warranry, I suppose it has run out by now. I figure with the low price I negotiated, I'll pay for the door acctuator. We bought a '94 & 2000 @ South Bay Lexus, so I'll stop by there & see if there's any type of warranty I can purchase now. Does anyone know if that'a a possibility & would it be worth it?
Warranty is always a good back up plan, but it'd probably be expensive if even available. Most of the time you can extend out to 100k but haven't seen one with more than that. Good luck on your actuator price too. Keep us posted. Welcome to the club!

I've encountered another problem on this forum. I posted 3 pix & none of them show. When I tried to go back & add more, I get a msg that I can't do it. What's up with that? So there's a blank box where there should be a picture or 3.....
