I have a 2001 LS430 and my change A?C filter light came on. Changed the filter but it still comes on. Anybody have any ideas why? and the light is the one in the instrument cluster not the one for my maitnace in the navigation system. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

press and hold "OFF" on the AC as you turn key to "on" position. Hold for 5 sec or so and it'll turn off.

or, you can do a search on here on how to do it. ha ha.

it's a dummy light.. probably based on mileage, of which I have not been able to figure out a pattern. I'm guessing about 15K, as I've only had it come on about 2 or 3 times in the 40K miles that I've driven her.

seem like that is probably true i didnt know if there is a sensor in there, i wouldnt doubt it because it is a lexus, i mean we even have smog sensors in our cars. but mileage does sound right because mine came on right around 90k.

You can input this yourself. From the Nav System, select INFORMATION. Then choose MAINTENANCE. This screen will have most all of the items that require maintenance, such as OIL, TIRE, BATTERY, BRAKES, etc. However their is no button for CABIN AIR FILTER itself. You can create that button by selecting PERSONAL ITEM. Open it , give it a name, and then input the date you want to be alerted and the number of miles you want to go before changing.

If you use the MAINTENANCE screen, you can input and track all your needed service items. I find it to be a great tool for keeping up with maintenance at a glance.

My 04 UL screen has an AIR FILTER button, which I use as the engine air filter. There is no specific CABIN AIR FILTER on mine. There are three PERSONAL ITEM buttons, which I have named and use as CABIN AIR FILTER, FRONT SEAT FILTER, and REAR A/C FILTER.

Interesting. Your screen is a little different than mine. Icons are different than mine and items are in a different location. I also don't have a RESET EXPIRED button. I can only change the names of the three PERSONAL ITEMS buttons. Do you have an ENGINE AIR FILTER button?

Is your car an 03? That might explain the difference.
