Default Change AC filter dummy light.

In my 2005 LS, the dash light said to change the air conditioning filter.... is this the filter that is inside the glove box or is it another location ?
After it's been replaced how do you turn off the reminder light?

Thanks guys

I'd be curious to know how that works. When I got my car I changed the filter right away, and it was full of things that a squirrel would eat. Almost 2 years later I changed it again, and the warning never came up. Then, it finally did. Is it like a 3 yr interval or something? imho that is too long.

Thanks. The filter had some crap in it so banged it on a tree, put it back in the car and reset the light.

Thanks everyone. Love fixing small stuff .... and its mostly small stuff except the passenger side wheel bearing that will cost me $ 800. Still I love the car !

Cabin fiters in the LS are very sturdy. You can greatly extend (in some cases forever) the life of your cabin air filter by pulling it every 6 months and brushing and vacuuming loose dirt, dust, and debris from the surface. Same goes for seat filters.

I never owned a car with a filter until a 2007 BMW, and on my wife's 2011 GM, some SUVs have it, some do not, so I get it's not life and death. But one is breathing this air in the vehicle, and it costs $12 for a Denso filter on rock. If you reused it, $6 is saved? Less if you do it again? I'd prefer to simply replace when recommended. I would imagine some people do the same with a furnace filter, only in this case, much more is at stake cost-wise. Seat filters I would agree I don't even know if I have them and never plan on checking unless the heaters did not have any effect when turned on...

IMO seat filters would have an effect on the cooling function, not the heating function
