Default AC/FILTER- Warning Light?

Start up the 2003 LS430 today. Red flashing triangle light and message says:
AC/Filter ... needs to be changed?

Any idea on what - when and where?

Thanks,

LSMAN

* The warning light goes off after a few seconds.

filter is in the back of the glove box and accessed through the same area,, really easy to change,, can buy them from various on-line Lexus dealers or aftermarket suppliers,, check in your manual on how to reset the control as it should be calling for a new one every 15k miles,,

to reset, hold the OFF button while the ignition is in the ON position.

The one located on your climate control. Make sure the car is off and the key is in the ON position. (if it doesnt work, try it in the ACC position).

I think you have to hold it for 3-4 seconds. As much as I knew my car, reading my manual, i learned so much interesting information.

For example, I didnt know you could lock up the rear control panel on the ultra's by holding the button labeled with the key. I will post a thread with pics soon.

Is it in the top or bottom glove box? Anyone have a quick write-up on how to change this out? I'm sick of my car smelling like feets

Default A/C Filter message on 04 LS430

Hi all,

I just replaced the A/C filter on my LS430 but don't know how to reset the A/C Filter message. I know that you can reset the message by holding down the AC OFF button for a couple of seconds while the engine is off, but the problem is that my car is equiped with Navigation therefore there is no AC off button for me to push. Thanks in advance.

If it is the one in your navagation screen you can reset that one in the maintenance screen once you browse to it. If it is the one in your instrument cluster, then you have to have the ignition on with the engine off and hold "OFF" for the AC until reset is displayed.

Thanks ludes96. I looked in the Maintenance screen and the only thing I see is the Air Filter reset. I will play around with the screen again. Thanks.

Can anyone provide a link to buy one of these filters online? I'm having trouble finding one -- lots of oil and air filters, but A/C not showing me the love.... Dealer wanted $95 to replace mine.
