Default Help....please!!

Hi Guys, I have an issue with my '04 model. The car is at 92,xxx and counting. Everything (mechanical & electrical) works fine. The other day like any other day, I approach my car without ever using the key pad unlock button, as we all know the door (all 4 doors) will automatically unlock once you are in close range. Well it doesn't even do that anymore and I used to turn the ignition without inserting the actual keys into the ignition, as we all know as long as the key is in the car...and now I can't even do that anymore either. What do you guys think the problem is? Strange how it all of a sudden stopped working. The keypad and the key itself works fine. Only thing is I can't do those two things that I mentioned anymore. Someone, anyone help?

Maybe the battery for the remote is weak or dead, try to change it out to see if help. You can look under FAQs section or youtube for instruction to change the battery.

there is a button down by your right knee under the dash below the steering wheel that has a key button and if that got depressed exactly what you described will happen.

Mine does not unlock the doors automatically. I have to put my hand on the handle for it to unlock "automatically. the lights come on within close proximity however.

Like they said above, there is a button right where your right knee is that turns on/off the smart key. Let us know if that works.

Hi Guys, Been out of town and now back in full force. The problem still occurs. I am sure you guys aren't talking about the reset button the one used to reset your tire pressure. I've looked all around, unless I am a dummy and mistaken what you guys are talking about for something else. Anyone care to go into full detail? Yeah, I know...pretty sad ain't it? Sorry guys, i'm illiterate when it comes to stuff like this. HELP!!! PLEASE!!! P.S While trying to find that button you all talk about not the reset button, but i came across a **** that ofcourse goes from left to right, anyone care to shed some light on what that is?

There is a button on lower right hand side of knee bolster that is the smartkey turn off switch. Sounds like yours got turned off.

The button everyone is telling you about is right beside the TPMS reset... lay down in the floor and look up. The **** you refer to is the volume for the acknowledgement beep of the remote, IIRC... You are in the right area looking. An idiot tech turned my key off after a service, thinking he was resetting the maint light.
