I bought the complete mirror assembly in my factory paint code brand new in box from Toyota for 299 shipped. I didn't think that was too bad so if this mirror lasts 11 years with no issues like the factory one I'll be happy. The part is normally like 600.00 so I jumped on the deal.
Where did you buy the mirror assembly for $300. I need to replace both of my mirrors.
I think my driver’s side mirror may be dead. Not sure the issue. I went thru the car wash and they drove it out with the mirrors folded in, I knew something was wrong. Any tips to repair? Or does this require an all new mirror assembly? It sounds like the motor is about to die too. Passenger side seems fine.
I wound up buying 2 new mirrors for $600 each and when they came in, discovered thwy dont cone with glass, despite what I was told by Lexus. The glass was an extra $500 each, so I asked them to install both mirrors and pull my old glass for me. I probably would jave broken one, so it was qorth it for them to do it.
They didn't charge much either, something like $150, which was super cheap, relatively speaking.

Thank you. When I called my local Lexus dealer they told me there were two separate part numbers for the housing and the mirror glass itself. They weren’t sure if you could reuse old glass in the new housing, so that was very helpful for you to have confirmed that does in fact work. That sounds like a reasonable labor amount to pay to swap those out. I think the hourly rate is up to $210 now here at the dealer, so I may have my indy do it for me (they’re $150/hr) and buy the part online. Looks like they are running around $450 now.
I got a "little" too close to the neighbors garbage can @ 10 MPH or so, hard on the glass. I found a used glass on evil bay for about 50 bucks, now to get it installed. Grrr, wasn't rainin an hour ago.
