Maint Reqd w/ Warning Light

Can you do a systems check in a 2004 ls 430. My car has red triangle lite up w/ exclamation mark in middle. It doesn't tell me what is wrong. Is there some kind of test the car does on its own that will tell you what is wrong?

Look at the bottom letf (amber color) dot matrix screen on the dash, it should tell you what the issue is.

For me this is usually a tire pressure sensor issue. Even though my tires hold pressure well, I have to reset the TPMs every so often when the red triangle appears. But Tee is right, the lower left display panel tells you the exact source of the problem.

if you have to keep resetting your tire pressure sensor thing try initializing it then it shouldn't bother you anymore. this kept happening to me until in initialized it.

It's time for an oil change....once you change the oil you reset the light. i can't remember how to reset it off hand but it's in the manual

The maintenance is just a timed light that comes on every 5000 miles or so. If you do the maintenance yourself, then just reset it. Instructions can be found in the LS FAQ thread on top of the LS430 forum.
