05 LS430 mirror switch light
just realized that the outside mirror control switch on the dash to the left side of the steering wheel does not light up at night while driving with the lights on. Is this normal? Thx!
Do you know if there is a bulb behind the switch that I can replace myself? I tried mine again and they don't light up on any mode. Thanks again!
Mine is a 2001. Your's may be different but fwiw:
Open the coin tray
Reach under the coin tray and you can pop out the finish panel holding the two switches (mirror switch and the one right next to it)
There is a philips type head on the back of the mirror switch but the "phillips" slots are pretty thin, so a very thin flat screw driver works better for me. Anyway - that is the bulb. Unscrew it and replace it.
As far as sourcing the bulb, I expect you will need to get it from the Lexus dealer - or match it at a Toyota dealer. They seem pretty common - I have similar ones in my 1990 Toyota pickup.

Thanks for the tip! I took the bulb off the mirror switch and ordered replacment ($13!!!). Have another question: On the deriver side window switch, when the front lights are on, does the 3-window lock switch light up? Mine doesn't, all window switches and door lock switch do but the 3-window lock switch doesn't. Is it another bulb? How do I get it out? Thanks again!
