Hi everyone

I know this has been touched upon in other forums but can't find a definitive answer to my question.

I have a 2007 IS250 and so doesn't have the illuminated wing mirror switch. Personally I don't think switch lighting is the Lexus's strong point inc the overhead switches etc.

My question is, can I retrofit a new style lit Toyota/Lexus switch to my car? I have had a look and it looks like the IS and all other Toyota models use the same switch, so would like to get a new switch off an Auris etc and fit it to my car.

Don't know if it makes a difference but my car has the electric folding function!!!

Sorry, the wing mirror switch on the newer models I believe lights up with the rest of the dash. On the pre face light models, the switch isn't backlit.

I've attached a picture of the switch (its from a GS, but you might recognise it from your car)

 

USDM version of the IS250 / IS350 does not get this feature... (Folding Sideview mirrors)

SO about 99% of us in here... Can not answer this question

oh ok got it. Didn't know they call "Side View Mirrors" wing mirrors in the UK. cool

 

quick question do the newer IS have automatic folding mirrors?

Seeing that the 4GS lost 'em I'm doubtful
