Default Mirror switch does not light up

I noticed recently that my mirror switch does not light up so I figured it was a bad bulb. I went ahead and ordered some leds to match the rest of my interior. Today the leds came in and still nothing. I tried two different leds, flipped polarities and still nothing. Anyone know what could be up? The switch works fine when it comes to adjusting mirrors, but just does not light up.

thanks
