Front parking sensor....bothring !!

hey guys,

I have 2001 LS430 Ultra. sometimes the front parking sensor keep peeping and showing on the screen while there is nothing in front the car. It is bothering me a lot, sometimes I had to turn the sensors off.

I don't know if it is from the paint it self!!!! because some of the sensors still have the paint and some haven't, it peeled. Also, some have half circle paint, the other half were peel.

or do you think its from the died insects around the sensors on the front pumper.!!!! I tried to remove them off from the sensors, but I kept the others around.

I need your experience guys.

Any suggestions to do will be appreciated.

i have had a similar problem with my sensors. i wiped the sensors and eventually the beeping stopped.

ive read about this happening and it required a through cleaning like mentioned above ^^^.

I've had my sensors go bad from stones, etc hitting them. SAme symptons - beeping when no other obstruction around. Had two replaced under warranty.

FYI those sensors cost 255 each and 1.3 hours of labor to exchange...very costly part. They come painted in the color of your car.

are you serious !!! $255 for each !!! plus the labor !! OMG!!

I have a 2004 LS 430 Ultra. The same problem started intermittently a couple of years ago and has steadily gotten worse. I took it to the dealer and the service rep. was not familiar with this problem and said I could leave it for service, I declined. He did show me how to get to the screen so I could turn down the beep volume. This helps or I could turn it off. I think it could be a bad connection but I do not know where it they are connected under the hood. Does anybody know how the wires are routed?
