hey guys,

i think i've got a problem with my parking sensors... when I was driving home just now, the parking sensors will just come on, the nav display changes from map to the parking display, and starts beeping, while I am moving in traffic.

On the small message display says : Check parking sensors.

So, I just re-started the sensors by switching it on and off, and the beeping will stop.

The car did this three times along 57th street until I got on the 59th bridge and it stopped. Then it didnt go on again ...

Any ideas? I dont want to go to the dealer yet and waste a trip if I cannot replicate the problem there.

 

Seeing that it's winter where you and I live, is there any residual road salt crust arouond your sensors? Mine did that when they got a bit dirty around the edges of the sensors. See if it does it after you get the car washed.
