Thanks for the info. It's nice to know a ballpark price that I should expect, b/c I'm getting that little warning light too.

Great info in this thread! I too got my cabin filter on eBay for 13.xx and from this thread learned how to remove the message on my dash.

Plus my ac doesn't smell "moldy" now!

Default Change a/c filter

I found one on E-Bay for $13.75 USD. Havent received it yet but it is the carbonized one. Another I saw on there without the carbon was $6.70 USD. Good Luck!

For those that do not have an owner's manual, just go to lexus.com, click on Owner's Resources - My Lexus, click Manuals & Resources, and fill in Model and Year.
You can then download the Owner's Manual, Navigation Manual, etc. (several sections each).
You do not even have to have a Login ID.

It has also been reported in the CL fora that you can get a free hardcopy from Lexus, but I haven't tried it.

I did it to see if it worked and I wanted a copy of the manual in my office so I didn't have to keep running to the car every time I needed to know something. Received an identical hard copy of the manual shortly after asking for it.

Hi, jayclapp.
Excellent! Thanks for confirming it.

I keep a pdf copy on my laptop for reference when not in my car (just for a little light reading :-)

Look for cabin air filter, or AC filter products....

Bottomline is, the consumer is at the mercy at the dealership. IF, I repeat, IF you can meet a mechanic NICE ENOUGH to help you for fair prices while they make a small profit is the only way to have a remedy to being over charged. Most of us have no idea if recommended services are TRULY needed while a mechanic knows exactly whats NEEDED to be done as opposed to just being recommended. How much $ needs to be spent on car repairs or just regular up keep of your cars? We have no clue. A MAN/WOMAN being charged $95 to replace a filter of ANY TYPE should be illegal but, with the word business truly meaning,"I can overcharge people without losing sleep for profit because its business" has people not even thinking of ethics anymore. HOW anyone cant consider anothers finances is clear, usng business as an out! WHose the worse criminal? The drug dealer or stick up kid or the person charging $95 hour for labor? You decide as individuals, I cant decide for anyone but myself. I go to the dealer expecting the worse. Went in myself last week for brakes to be done, coulda cost me $260-$270 for rear brakes but I wasnt told the sensor had been ruined, didnt know it could be or even had I been aware it existed. S, I was charged $99 for sensor and money to machine rotors as well, costing $491, this after $100 discount, hahaha! Should break replacement EVER cost that much? Again, its your decision to make for you. The only remedy in this world is to become a Dr.,LAwyer, Mechanic,Car Salesman,OBGYN,Barber, Hairdresser,Owner of your own college,Owner of a clothing store and cloth designer and shoe store owner and shoe designer. Really, being over charged is how the economy works, not fairness! Protect yourself with DIY(Doing.It.YOURSELF) or knowledge to know what items/services cost! LGNM

Try E-Bay. Just search your year and model and "A/C filter". Got mine on there for $13.00 to my door.

Amazon has OEM Denso charcoal front cabin filters for cheap. If you have a UL or CL you can get good aftermarket rear ones too. I purchased all 8 for my car for about $120

The consumer should inform themselves so to be not overcharged. The main reason this forum is do popular.
