Thanks sigers98, I found the Off button. I was looking for the "off" button in the actual navigation screen lol.

$95???...the Lexus Service writer should be wearing a mask and pointing a gun at your head to quote you $95 for cabin filter replacement. That's some cold you know what.

If a Lexus tech took more than 10 minutes tops to do that job I'd fire his slack butt (and that includes 5 minutes to saunter to parts, flirt with the check out lady, and get the filter.)

No way anyone owning an LS should pay good money to have the silly cabin filter "installed". Its like changing batteries in a flash light. And it gives you a chance to clean out the old recipients and Burger King napkins out of the glove box.

Instead of wasting money, take the cabin filter out 3-4 times a year and vacuum it with a shop vac. Takes about 5 minutes to do. It will literally last forever if you do that. And one less air filter in the land fill.

Aypues, you have a great service department. NOt all would have done the same as yours, they mostly charge when they can. My service department is pretty good to me. Some of the prices are HIGH but, they gave me a free battery one time and replaced a out tail light for free as well for me. Gave me discounts and offered a few as well when I had issues with labor prices. Depends on were you live and that dealers owner!!! Congrats on such a wonderful dealership service department. Plenty would trade with you. LGNM

My dealer charged me $26 for the cabin A/C filter and I installed it myself.

as i understand it there are actually different kinds of ac filters.
first type is a standard one for pollen and such
second type has active carbon in it to reduce smells and this is the one that they charge almost 30% more money for.
the second type can of course be vaccumed and reused as an type one filter but the active carbon in it will be working less and less as time goes.

I have found some cabin air filters on Ebay. One brand is TYC. Would this be an acceptable replacement? They are like 18 dollars shipped.

Search LS430 cabin filter -

The WIX brand is generally excellent for air and oil filters

Thanks for the links. I got the change filter warning on the dash. I reset the light.

Just pulled the filter and it looks new. Must not have anything to do with how dirty....just a dummy light to let you know you should change it or at least inspect it.
