I was having trouble with my internal trunk switch and come to find out it was just completely disconnected. But now I can’t unlock it from the valet mode. My key won’t work on it but works on everything else.
i assume I have a valet key and when I bought the car the key had no buttons not an immobilizer.
the key works on everything else including the outside lock on the trunk but not the internal switch. I swear I unlocked it before and idk how to fix it. Any ideas?

 

Valet key would not open the glove box or the trunk.

 

correct but I can open the trunk and glove box with my key so I don’t understand why I can’t unlock it with my current key

 

Should be able to but it may be a cut key and slightly off. Try wiggling.

 

agree wiggle it, but if that doesnt work disconnect internal switch, maybe reason disconnected

 

Probably got replaced so the barrel in that piece doesn't match your key, or it has simply seized.
As Jff ^^^ says there is a reason it was disconnected.

 

I would agree with others - It looks like the internal switches were replaced. You can see some chipping on the upper left corner of the release switch panel, and some marks on your dash around the edge of it from what I assume was prying with a tool or screwdriver.
