test drove a used ls
93 model w/140k on the clock, the interior was in wonderful condition. body was straight and all manuals and everything was in tack. to be black the car had a nice looking paint job. is it common to paint the bottom molding the same color as the car? if i get it thats what i would do. its 7800 w/o warranty or 8300 w/2 year unlimited mile warrenty. thoughts, suggestions, questions? thanks bryan

Only $500 for a 2 year warranty? Is that a complete warranty, everything? Most repairs I've done have been well over $500. So read the fine print on that warranty.
If I ever buy another car (Lexus of course ) the first thing I'll do after visually inspecting it is to look through all the matainance records. If it didn't have records I probably wouldn't buy it. It seems as though you always get burned if you don't know.

warranty
covers everything except small items (plugs washers, small items) i was surprised on the condition of the interior. all the needles lit up except one. other than that, it was pretty much flawless...the engine soooo clean i was amazed. to be honest i think i could get a timing belt replacement thrown in there if it hasn't been changed. anymore thoughts

I persnally would like to say to you if by any chace you can get a LEXUS Certified Pre-Owned vehicle do that it cover up to 3 years or up to 100,000 miles whatevers 1st.I keot buying new cars myself losing thousands in the process i owned or leased 6 vehicles in 5 years just to lose in the long run 2 MERCEDES S430 and a ML500 truck 2GS300's 1GS400 1 ES300 know i own a certified Pre-owned LS430 no stress over warranty its like buying new if you can buy Pre-owned used from dealer my dealer ran maintenance history fpr me at service desk checked out.I'll just say a little more dough and payments but less stress over probs. And i bought my LS430 at 31,637 miles. And if you buy the 93 remember any lexus is agood lexus so buy if you want it bro we live once and thats it they are enjoyable cars.

There can be a whole boat load of stuff at this stage. As usermel states, a CPO is a nice way to go if the numbers work.
To add to the list:
I would want a compression check with that mileage. Do they have records of the service history? If not you may take the VIN by a Lexus dealer and have them run it.
