Default Fitting UCF20/2LS rear adjustable absorbers to UCF10/1LS

Hi dudes, just fitted brand new BC Racing coilovers to my 1996 LS400 (UCF20).

I had slightly worn Tein Cruising Master Comfort Sports previously which I've taken off.

Now there's quite some interest from the guys over here to buy my Teins, but they all drive UCF10/11s or 1989-94 LS400s.

They're all asking whether the rear shocks will fit their UCF10/11s.

I notice that the same Megan EZ Streets fit both UCF10/11s and UCF20s.

Can this be the same for Tein CS as they are fully adjustable?

Hope someone can help out. Thanks in advance.

The coilovers will work just fine, though they might need to further adjust the drop to compensate for the longer shock body of the 2LS coilovers (assuming these are actually designed for a 2LS). Another thing to note is that the Megan coilovers were modeled(?) on a 1LS.

***EDIT***
The coilovers will not fit - I confused myself.

Many thanks for the answer Mr. Scope!

I suspected so since if the Megan coilovers can work for both generations, the difference cannot be that big.

completely incorrect, Tein CS will not work properly on a UCF1x chassis. The Megans/BC/etc. were all made to UCF1x stroke specs which is why they work on both chassis.

Thanks DC and PureDrifter... I guess they wont work after all.
No worries, I'll make sure I will only sell to UCF20s.

Just for future reference, the UCF2x coilovers are NOT backwards-compatible with the UCF1x, correct?

That might explain why the megan coilovers I got that fit 89-2000 were such total garbage on my 93, the spring height adjustment was all wrong, surely made for the 95+ cars.

no, those were made for and prototyped on a 1st gen car, I knew the owner at the time.

Any coils that are specific to the UCF2X chassis are to long as PD mentions for the 1X.

No kidding they were, interesting... they would barley go high enough to have 1/2 gap on the wheel and the stroke was so short you could get whiplash going over bumps at speed, I was so disappointed on how they utterly ruined the car I ended up selling it.

the coilovers weren't made to keep the car high.

kingsoup, there must have been a problem with your adjustments because the Megan's can ride very smooth if adjusted to do so. Sounds like it was lowered from the spring perch instead of the lower adjustment part.
