gate Shifter Swap?

Default gate Shifter Swap?
Is it possible to swap ucf20 gate shifter into first gen, without a trans swap? if so what needs to be changed? and has anyone here done it successfully? or know someone who has?

Yes, search. You will need the full shift assembly from the UCF20 with the gated shifter. I think you'll find this handy. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...pre-98-sc.html

damn i tried searching under "gate shifter" "gate shifter swap" gate shifter mod" but no luck. but thanks 3UZFTE, i appreciate the help

make sure the shifter is from a 95-97 LS.

EDIT: never mind i just checked the local craigslist add... it's a 98

actually you may be able to use the 98's, and use the switch to 4 as an O/D switch.

Swap is both mostly mechanical and may have to use parts from both shifter to make it fit right. There are no detailed swap here but you need to study both shifters.
