Exclamation 99 LS400 A/C problem code 42

I Searched high and low on the forums. All I can find people with 41 and 43 problems, and no one really helping them out.

Its a 99 LS400 with Navi

Last hope, maybe someone has gone through the same problems as me.

These are the symptoms:

When car is cold (bearly started): AC works great, super cold. (EVERYTIME I start from a cold start)
When car is at running temp: AC doesnt work blows warm. (at idle or driving)

After its at running temp, the AC light blinks on Navi
I checked for a code and its only throwing me 42 (Air Inlet Door Servomotor circuit).

Can any one help?

My 1st post!

Thanks,
Tuan

Okay new issue.

about 6pm today I left work.

Well AC worked great for 30mins straight.

I got home and just turned off the air and turned on again, AC started blinking again. :/

Now the code is 21 and 24? Any clues anyone?

Its so weird, I drove it this morning AC blew cold, no problems.

About 17mins or so, went warm.

Someone please help! 21 and 24 is the code, 24 is unknown to me?

Exclamation

Yeah so yesterday I pulled of the solar sensor, blew it out.

Slapped it back in, then check for code again, when i flash a light to it, it goes to "00"

If I don't have a flashlight on it its "21" and "24". AC still blinks.

But yesterday ALL DAY A/C worked so f-ing weird.

I dont ever hear the fan coming on, cant it be becuz the fan is not cooling off the freon, that it blinks A/C?

But how can it work all day yesterday?

Wish I could offer some suggestion, but I haven't had the right experience yet for that one. Surely someone will offer some insight on the problem....

Old post... but... did you ever figure this out? I have same exact symptoms as OP on a 2000 LS400. I get 21 and 24 and 42. 21 and 24 are no problems, as those are thrown by the Solar sensor(s) when it's dark outside. Those codes go away during daylight.

Still working on figuring code 42, which is "Air Inlet Damper Position Sensor Circuit" error. I went ahead and pulled the AC fuse for 60+ seconds to reset. I'll check code again the next time my AC switch light blinks.
