Default 1994 LS400 - No cold air - AC Code reads '00'

Can someone help me with my AC issue. I would prefer to not have to visit a car shop. I ran the AC code check and came back as 00...normal. I recently noticed that AC does not run cold or even cool. It seems to not change the temp at all when i turn on AC. I also noticed that the engine does not get louder when i turn on AC. I haven't owned car very long. I love it for sure. Beautiful condition, silver, 135k miles, inside is almost perfect. Paid 4200 for it 6 months ago.

Power steering seems to leak a good bit.

Have some electrical oddities; dashboard lights flicker on cold morning, gas tank always reads empty although low gas light works thankfully, blackening happening on readouts on dashboard.

Love this site.

You need to hook up the hoses and check the low and high side pressures. Without that it would be hard to diagnose. Also see if your clutch engages. but if it is low on freon the clutch wont engage

Default freon type to use

I don't have owners manual. Do you know what freon to use for a 94 ls400?

I'm having the same problem. Code 00 and air blowing fine, just not cold or even cool. Freon is full. Checked by a licensed refrigeration technican. Would love to find a result to this since it's "GETTING HOT IN HERE", lol.

Just had mine serviced with the same problem and the Technician says it was actually overcharged.

So, did it get fixed by just simply discharge some of the Freon? I wish that would be the case, because I can "accidentally" release the gas into the astmosphere.

I was charged $90 for a full service leak test, diagnostic and recharge.
