Had the same symptoms. My suspension gradually starting to work. In the morning when it was cold the "high" light would blink and the car wouldn't rise in the back. After a short while the blinking stopped and the car would work for the rest of the day. And some days it would be no problem at all with the suspension. After a week or so after I sprayed 5-56 in the connection the blinking "high" light never came on again and so far so good (had my problems in September-October). So my best tip is just to wait and see what happens. But I only had a problem with the left front hight sensor. If the problem persist I would check up actuator problem you are having (code 22). And have you reset the computer before reading this last codes?

Dear J andersson and others on the board,
It has been working two days in a roll now wit no problem!so far so good. I applied a good amount of dielectic grease to all height sensor connectors front both sprayed and greased and rear right sensor I actually took it apart disassembled it and reinstalled it. I do not have the height rod on that side installed yet as i was testing it out. now on hight mode car goes really freaking high that I can fit two fist in it!! I think that is due to the right rear height control sensor rod being left out! I am afraid to screw it up since it has been working two days now with no problem if i do install the rod back . Is there any particular way i have to spin the sensor bolt before installing the rod back or is there a way to install it back like when it is in normal mode? Please give more information as i want to install back the right sensor rod back after a few more days to make sure the system will turn on and work correctly. Any advice on it please thank you

sincerely,

Have never worked on the height sensor so can't give you any tip on that more than take a look on how the left back sensor look like. And you have to install the rod to make the car work as it should.

now it stopped working again after couple days like last time. But what i notice is that it works right away the air pump after I go over the same high bump down the road at high speed which will compress the suspension and bouce the car hard . The airpump will suddenly turn on then the sus hi light will stop blinking?
Any suggestion on what the problem can be now ? Please help!!!! As i need to drive long distance tomorrow monring

Do you still have the same codes after reseting the suspension ECU?

Have you checked up the actuator problem you are having (code 22)? If the actuator works fine and the height control sensor also works fine I would suspect that you either have some problem with the harness to the suspension ECU or the ECU itself. Found this ECU on ebay and it should work in your car:

$85 is not much to make sure it's not your ECU that is the problem. But I would check up the harness first before changing ECU.

Good luck!

Where is the relay for the compressor on the air suspension? I suspect this to be bad on my 1991 LS. the only relay I have found is the main relay on the ECM for the suspension.
