They do. My '92 has a first-aid kit. It's in the trunk. Pretty nifty.

ETC? Do you mean the ECT PWR/NORM switch?

Yep, sorry about the typo. Normally it allows one to shift faster and without having to open the throttle as wide before it downshifts, but in cruise control it has no effect.

This is significant to the LS400 because my '90 ES250 actually engages ECT while in cruise, if you're on a slight hill and the computer decides that you need to downshift then it will do it a lot quicker than if ECT was disengaged.

your car is a JDM import i assume and therefore is very different from US/UK models.

The "Extra Flow" button is only on RHD models. There likely a similar Extra Flow button on the rear of the front console where the rear passengers can reach it. The Extra Flow buttons divert ventilation air flow from the front to the rear passengers. The RHD Celsior and LS were often used chauffeured cars in Asia and the comfort of the driver was not of the highest priority.

if u want more extension or tilt out of your steering wheel max it out then clock the **** 10times in the direction you want it to extend more in (ie towards you and/or down, as i like it ) and it will extend a tiny bit more than the preset limit.

Sadly- this killed my tilt/tele motor...

I didn't see Lexkost post saying it was bad for the motor...

wont kill the motor the MOST it could do is throw the gears out of alignment if they are already pretty close to being derailed (or de-geared w/e )

Sorry.. I drive one... after a while you get to like that smell... and hate the smell of gassers..especially when they are runnin rich, and on the gas hard... or when they have that rotten egg smell they spew out.

Here is a good one.. from Youtube... Check out the boost gauge?? HA HA 40PSI BTW when they smoke like that its cause there is more fuel than can be burned.. really kinda wasteful... but cool also.

just encountered this one today by accident.

If a door is open (either wide open or not completely shut) and you attempt to lock it with the remote, your car will emit a continuous beeping sound to let you know. Although I haven't tried with the key.

In my JDM Celsior ucf11. If you have the wipers set high then intermitten, when you come to a complete stop they turn on to intermitten automaticaly.

Also if you turn your front windscreen defroster on while stationary it wont turn on untill you start driving (i assume this has to do with it heating the glass up while sitting still then it cooling rapidly when moving might cause cracking of the screen)

The american LS400's dont have the electric reclining/heated/massaging seats do they? So i spose thats a hidden feature hahaha.

My sunroon if still open beeps at me if i close the door with the keys out of the ignition.

Did you guys know about the magnet in the steering colom for your keys to stick to in order to avoid them "clanging" together.

The glove box contains a little mechinism to make sure it opens and closes evenly. (little coil thing on the right hand side when you take the dash apart)

Not sure if the american ls400 have it. but my car has a fender pole. its like an antena that extends from the front left of the car to make it easyer to judge curb distance.

Another feature about my celsior is that it doesnt have the stereo aerial in the rear 1/4 panel like the ls400's do. I honestly dont know where it is. but I get great reception. (does anyone know????)

You also cant remove the keys if the car is not in park.

The rear vision mirror will auto dim if it detects bright headlights from behind.

Im sure there are more little things. but cant think of them right now.
