which year ls is yours? Grand Ls 4 just posted a link for 98-00 that will show that you can change your settings. One of those options is to change the unlocking function to pressing the unlocking button once to open all 4 doors.

if u want more extension or tilt out of your steering wheel max it out then clock the **** 10times in the direction you want it to extend more in (ie towards you and/or down, as i like it ) and it will extend a tiny bit more than the preset limit.

lol. Now that I know this.. I can't keep from doing it every time I enter the car.

Thanks!!

I always wondered what this wire was for. Found it in the trunk under all the matts.

It is indeed for the car phone antenna. Looks like PO ripped out the control box.

No, it must be preset wiring as my car didn't come with a phone.

Its part of the C-best settings, as well as many other options. Search for C-best settings, I've posted them more then once. Your dealer can re-program your car to exactly do just that. I've had it done my previous LS, my current GS, and dont it at home with my newer LS.

I, too hate the double clicking, and all the beeping when I want to open a rear door.

If I remember correctly, that is the coax for the phone antenna imprinted on the inside of the rear window. There is a second coax antenna cable behind the trim under the tool box housing on cars that do not have a dealer installed Lexus phone. Connecting the two coax cables together activates the phone antenna cable under the rear of the center console.
