Question Yellow FOG LIGHTS!

Sup peeps,

I have a 99 GS300 and I want to change the fog light bulbs to get

the YELLOW look of the 2002 GS430.

From the dealer I got quoted for about I think $400 a piece on the REAL GS430 yellow foglights. NO WAY!

My question is WHAT bulbs should I use in the fog lights to get

the most COOLEST effect of yellow fog lights. I already have

SYLVANIA SILVERStar as my Headlights.

Thanx in advance for the suggestions.

I'm assuming you have clear fog lights on your car. I recommend PIAA Yellow Ion Crystal bulbs. The bulb size is 9006

Default Bulbs

Yeah, you can also check e-bay for additional choices. I found some there that seem to be a pretty good buy considering they are less than half the price. Also much easier to get a hold of...

you can just get the yellow fogs housing to achieve the yellow look. talked to steve at carson toyota, i quoted from him before and it's 103 each side, much better than the stupid price you got from your dealer.

using yellow bulbs from the side it's pretty yellow, but from straight ahead it's no match wtih yellow lens in the housing

Default Another vote for PIAA

They are expensive $120 I think for the PIAA's, but I'd go that route. I wanted them for the fogs in my Expedition, but the ba$tards at Ford changed over in '02 to a 9145 bulb which has different tabs then the 9006. They would've made the front of my Expy look like the front of my Lexy HID's and Yellow fogs for everyone

No.. all the same for 98+ GS... Just that the HID's/2000 came with yellow lens inside the cear glass I believe. I have both and they are the same.

Save yourself some money!!! Here is how....

Find a motorcycle shop near you that sells Lockhart Phillips bulbs. or order online. Lockhart Phillips sells yellow glass wrappers to put around your foglight bulbs, that gives the same yellow hue as the HID yellow fog lights for the GS4. They are called LP USA HEADLIGHT HALOs. Check them out. They only cost $6.95! Matter of fact they offer blue, and yellow, and they slip right around your bulb, just like the factory ones.

LP Halo Wrappers

Hope these helps

I've tried the ion bulbs and they really dont' look anything like my OEM 99 GS fogs (which I really like). You can't just change the bulb, you have to change the lense to get that look.

I have the PIAA ION yellow for my GS. Had them for over 6 months now and they haven't faded at all. The yellow is not as deep as factory but the light output is simply amazing.

Cool, but remember its not the bulbs that you want, but the HALO piece. The price is only $7 for two, and it gives a yellow light. You basically put that yellow halo around your existing foglight bulb.

Hey you have a local dealer here that sells them? I called around and they seem to be hard to get... I would like a set..
