Default Popped in Silverstar Sylvania's

After I changed out my fogs to a whiter bulb, my halogen headlights looked so yellow and so dim. I decided to get some Silverstar Sylvania's @ $25 a piece at a local Autozone. I decided just to keep these in here until I can afford the 6000k kit. Looks just like 4100k after they warm up and turn white. Very impressed. Doesn't have the cheap ricer look at all.

Highly recommended for those who can't afford the HID kit just yet.

Here's another shot. It actually looks pure white with a hint of light purple. Looks VERY much like 4100k HID.

I'll take some pictures at night to show you guys how it looks. Hard finding good lighting in the daytime to show off the lights. I'll also take pics of the spread.

Brendan,

You need to updrade your wedge bulbs too. They are way too "yellow" compare to your other lights.

Default Can I make a suggestion here?

Brendan - I also have had these bulbs for a few months. I like the nice clean white look, and the $$$$ is great too. Got the idea from TXSTYLE's post a while ago.

My suggestion: try a set of white led's for your wedge bulbs. They have more of a purplish/white look to them, plus they are generally more reliable than conventional bulbs. Mine look great...kinda like having HID wedge

Eric

get the 4 bulb LED wedge from autodynamic.com then custom fabricate a reflective "hat" on it that will make the light spread out evenly...

Brendan, lookin' good.

Question for all: I believe the 2000 I have has a different DRL / high beam setup than the '98s (and '99s?). So to brighten the DRLs I just change out the separate wedge, right? What do I change that to?

Thanks Bit! I think the 98 is different and that's it I believe. Don't quote me on it, not sure -- I think just do what LexusRules or ebruceii and get some white LEDs.

bit the DRLs are the 9005 high beam bulb.... they are not the wedge bulbs unfortuantly so even with blue high beam bulbs (less light output too) they will still be yellow because of the low wattage of DRL.. my suggestion is you disable DRL, figure out how to make ur fogs as DRL, or have ur lights on all the time.. good luck man!

Did you clear out your fog lights or do they come stock like that? All the car I have seen like mine have a yellow plastic cover over the bulb

Non-HID GS's come with clear fogs. You can easily do a DIY to get the yellow glass out of the yellow fogs.

More pictures! NIGHT TIME!
