Question taking apart headlights on a 98 LS

Ok i have a question.

what do I have to do to remove the lens from my stock headlights?

I'd like to paint the housing flat black to give the car a newer look.

I know I have to bake it in the oven, but at what temperature?

and is there anything else i should consider before I begin?

You don't waste any time. Nice work. I look forward to seeing the final pictures. Take some pictures of each step as you go and post them up too. Those are always fun to see.

Take the corner light out first and you can then reach all the bolts that hold the headlight module in. Note that there is a hole to reach down and remove the bottom inside bolt. Now you can replace the whole module, including the plastic frame and the adjusting mechanism, or just the glass lens/plastic back reflector assembly.

I finished them. the corner lights were a pain to get open but well worth the effort because it completes the look. i wish i knew beforehand that they were glued together not caulked but it turned out very well. it's funny, this is the first real modification i've done on the car, and already i have 20 other things in mind that I can't wait to do.

what do you think?
