Default Nak AMP

The attached picture shows the Nakamichi amp in the trunk of my 91 LS400. I wonder if this is the amp for the sub only. If it is, then where's the other amp ? And what is the black box on the left of the amp?
Thanks.

Even though I didn't have the Nak system in my 91, I would say that's just the sub amp. That was the exact location of my pioneer sub amp. Not sure about that little black box, I was wondering the same thing. I think it's probably a crossover to block out the highs, my other guess would be that it's for the lights.

I have a 1992 LS400, and for me i have that amp in the same place, and it is an amp for the factory subwoofer. I have no clue what the black box is, but when i installed my system to keep it simple i connected the output from the amp (wires that goto the sub) into my highlevels of my new amp.

Sorry about the big picture. I used my 4 Meg camera at full resolution to take the picture and it took me a while to compress it down to under 100 KB.
Is the other amp under the CD changer ?

Just thought of this.....if you want to know if that's only the sub amp just unplug it, turn on the car and listen. If you hear the front and rear speakers without the sub then the amp is only for the sub, simple. Oh wait, Limca3 already said it was only for the sub, opps. But hey, you could also use this plan to try and figure out what that little black box is. I just installed my system so it would be a pain to get at that box right now.
