Unhappy Sc400 sub not working? :(

I recently got my first sc its the 400 with the V8.

Going to do a r154 5 speed swap soon. but i'm fixing alot of small stuff like the passenger outside door handle doesnt work also broken inside door handles. And other small things.

But one thing thats bugging me is the sub isnt working... I took it out and fixed up the wiring. and tested it with a 9v battery and it moves up like it should.

Whenever the car turns on the sub "pops" but no sound. its the stock poineer system and the front speakers sounds great but the rears are blown(one is) the other doesn't work? idk.

This is the stock sub btw with stock system. Any ideas...?

I would say the amp for sure. Check it under the rear mat for water/condenstaion/rust etc. Most likely thats your problem. Maybe a blown sub, test it with another speaker.

Yeah I checked the amp and its clean as a whistle. :P

Idk if the sub is blown. it moved whenever I did the 9v test.

Is the fader control on the front end switched all the way forward? The previous owner may have done this because of the blown rear speaker.

Wait let me get this straight, you took out the sub to fix and did not replace the blown rear speakers? You need to replace the blown speakers to get a proper sound from the sub. Follow the steps to replace the blown rear speakers... Post 4. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sc-...-speakers.html

A friend of mine told me the amp is bad.... where is the stock sub amp? can I just run a aftermarket one and use the same wiring from the stock one?
