Keyless entry question
My key is still fine. Sometimes, it seems like it doesnt work, but you have to make sure that you push the button hard and all the way down. I havent taken apart the key, but Im guessing there is a little switch under the rubber which causes this.
and Lexus told me that it would be $550 to repair. Darn those guys, they LOVE to replace things and not repair them.
It's happened at least twice where they wanted to replace a $500+ part. One of them I replaced nothing by tightening a loose cap screw (under the seat, they wanted to replace the whole assembly!)
For now the remote lock/unlock project is on the backburner, as a complete leather restoration will take priority.

I don't mean to bring this thread back from the dead, but I can't find any info on this specific upgrade. Anyone have any insight? or is the aftermarket option the best bet?
