Phoenix Gold Xenon 200.4, 200 wrms x 4 xenon 200.4
Good luck finding an amp that has more then 125wrms + a sub channel...maybe the Memphis Belle, I'm not too familiar w/ Memphis products however.
That PG amp can power your front components and a sub(s) with no sweat. Power the rears w/ the h/u.
better to slightly overpower it, or underpower with a clean amp. if you underpower with an amp that has poor characteristics, as you turn up the volume you will drive you speaker with high power distortion, which is the most common cause of kentucky fried speakers.

You hit the nail on the head!
I'm powering my front 4"comps w/ 150+wrms ea. and my 8" door midbass w/ 150+wrms ea. also.
A lot of people buy really expensive speakers (i.e. Boston Pro /MB Quart Q series which needs100-150wrms) and power it w/ 50wrms?
If you only have 50watts, then why not just buy speakers that on need 50 rms?
i was thinking of underpowering by like 25 only. i reason i want a 5 channel is i only need 200 watts rms for the sub. looks weird if u have one big 4 channel and a tiny mono.
can i run 4 component sets off a 2 channel amp? crutchfield has a MB quart 2 channel amp pushing 400x2 @ 2 ohms for $225. ill get 4 ohm components instead of the 2 ohms i was goin with.

(first part) If you must, you could get away w/ it.
(secound part) You could run your speakers at 2 ohms..., but why???
You will not have any control over your front and rear speakers. Your front and rear is going to play at the exact same level
I would rather have less power and individual channels. then a lot of power and no control over the F/R speakers.
When was the last time you went to a concert and the performer was playing behind you?
the speakers i want come in either 4 ohm or 2 ohm.
Well that's a different story...if you run (2) a pair of speakers to one channel and then it would be 2 ohms, but, if you run (1) speaker per channel, the load will be what ever the speaker is (4 or 2 ohms).
It seems that you are running the ID Chameleon's...nice choice!
should i underpower the speakers by 25-30 watts. or should i overpower them ??? i found an alphasonik amp that will give me 120 x4 @ 2ohms + 200x1 for the sub. ill be goin with ID10 v3 btw.

Go for it.
I actually prefer the ID v.3 's over the IDQ's
be sure to dynamat your doors, the chameleon's produce a nice amount of midbass!
