Default Kenwood DDX-7015

Hey Guys,

Anyone of you know if the Kenwood DDX-7015 unit would fit in a 92 SC400?
I've been checking around some of the shops in my area and half of them are saying that it would fit while the rest are saying that it wouldn't.

Anyone can help with this?

Here is the link to the specs on the Kenwood site...

Kenwood DDX-7015

Thanks.
Varune.

Mart,
was it hard to install, and did you use oem wires or speakers.

I used oem wires for the moment, but I am running a JL 300/4 with JL XR speakers front and rear and a 500/1 with JL 12W6.

I'll get a better pic of the Kenwood later

Default Position of Shift Lever

The install looks great and it was just what I've been wanting to see.
Thanks for the pics.

Another question that I have is this...
When the shift lever is in "Park", would the face of the 7015 hit it when it sides open?

I know this might be a small price to pay, if this is the case, but curiousity has gotten the better of me and I would like to know before I actually but the unit.

Thanks.
Carib.

Assuming the US version is the same as the UK then there is no removable panel but it does have a security code which you dont have to turn on but once it is on it can not be turned off. Also remember it is going to be bolted in to an SC so removing it wont be a quick job.

Yes it is a in dash double din screen, the front is motorised and slides down to access the cd slot. Yes it only plays one cd at a time but will control a cd changer if you want. It plays CD/DVD/VCD/MP3/WMA although it will not work very well if you load up a dvd disc with MP3's, but is fine with a normal cd-r.
I am in the trade so got it cheap and fitted it myself, RRP is £1199 but available online in the UK for £850. I got no idea what costs are in the US so cant really help with that one.
