Default Audio question - Will it fit?

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B001QXDSPE/...SIN=B001QXDSPE

Product Dimensions: 7.4 x 7 x 3.9 inches ; 5.1 pounds

It seems to have really good reviews and it fits what I want. Double Din should be good from the front size perspective right?

Some other guys mentioned that 6.5 was a little tight on the length so I'm scared of 7" but I figured someone talented should be able to install it.

Anyway, I await the educated opinions of those who have dealt with audio installs previously.

Yours in Christ,
Shanty

I believe it will go. If it will not completely go in, you can possibly relocate some of the wiring in the back against the firewall. Lastly, you can have the front part sticking out a little and make something to fill in the gap or diffference. Be creative, but I think it will go. Anyone else, wasnt to share their thoughts?

Indeed. Especially if you extend yourself to $200. Nothing special about that one.

Link me something then. I've been poking around and I had kind of decided on a mid level stereo rather than low level video. My budget was around 225 or so for video, which would scrap the bottom end of the double din 7" systems, and I figured for just a regular stereo my budget should be about 150-160 for something that'll play off USB, SD and also play CD's and MP3 CD's.

Unless there happens to be something in particular you like about Boss, I'd suggest sticking with more established manufacturers like Alpine, Eclipse, Pioneer, Kenwood, etc. They should have head units in the $150-$160 range... Alpine CDE-102, Pioneer DEH-P4100UB, etc.

I paid just a bit more and got a decent 7'' in-dash dvd/cd/mp3/SD...keep searching and you will find something of higher quality and it will save you money in the long run.

Yeah, I looked at a bunch of those. I can't afford the 500-600 dollar ones, and the lower range ones all have sucky reviews. If I could get out for 300-350 I'd maybe do it.

Those suckers are big though, might not fit.
