I love German and Italian cars. I’m just tired of paying for them and making excuses for their faults.
I stopped lying to myself as well. A purpose built sports machine (any GT3 or GT2 911) is way beyond my ability and nothing like how I’ll drive it. Same with any exotic cars. Way too much car and not what I’ll use it for.
I agree. I'll never own another German car (last one was a SL600 with the V-12 engine). now, the engine was bullet proof and sounded glorious with the Brabus exhaust, But the cost to maintain was crazy, not to mention is something actually broke. I bough mine used, no warranty, with only 20K miles.
The LC you can drive everyday if you chose. Which I do, except in the snow or rain. I was going to buy the new Corvette, then sell my 2007 vet and use the money from the vet to buy my everyday car. But, I could not find the every day car i wanted for $40 - $50K. thus, better to have the LC everyday and drive around on Sundays in the "old" vet
So nerve wracking with these F models and potential LFR. Don't get me wrong, I love Lexus - always have, but just give us a taste of what's coming. All they did was give us a breakdown of all the different F/F Sport/F Sport Handling/etc. variants. With the disappointment of no LC-F, and discontinuation of the majority of their F lineup (only one left is RC-F), it raises doubt.
The latest rumors now say 2 LF-R(A) variants:
- one in 2025 with the supposed TT 4.0L V8 with hybridization
- the other in 2030 and beyond being fully electrified
I can't say I'm in love with that Toyota GT concept/LF-R Batmobile. I find it lacks curves - kinda looks like a carting vehicle with a cockpit slapped on top. The Lexus Electrified Sport Concept looks way better, as it has more organic curvature. Even though I'm constantly looking around for potential replacements, the market hasn't "corrected" YET. So until then, I will stay with my LC - and HOPEFULLY Lexus will announce or unveil the next LF-R(A) and I'll throw my money on that!
those interior switches are garbage on the aston. That being said, I almost bought one. its really not THAT much more than the LC when all said and done, maybe like 50-70k more depending on options. But the brand prestige is considerably more attractive than plain ole LEXUS
I rented a vantage in San Diego, wonderful steering and the Amg engine was fantastic. The interior was garbage, old Mercedes tech.
I own a 2022 rs6 avant and a 2018 lc500. Lc is the superior car, and it just works. You can hate the tech, but it works. Audi’s tech is great, especially the safety stuff. But I’ve driven both cars on 8k road trips across the country and the Lexus never frustrated my like the Audi did. Don’t get me wrong, the Audi is a BEAST. But man that Lexus just stirs the soul.
beautifully, perfectly put. the LC gives you an emotional rush. i have a tacoma for poppin' around town,
but man i sure miss it when i'm not drivin the LC all the time ...
Btw, forgot to show you guys some pics of the F1 Vantage build I did with the sales manager at AM. I still think I prefer the LC interior.
Hey man.... I saw a recent vid of yours online for the 2023 LC….Was wondering why you didn’t debut it on ClubLexus like you usually do. Or did I miss it, HollyWood?

My bad, and thanks for watching! I didn't think it was necessary since there was a post on the LC forum and later an article that came out. Didn't want to overdo it. I'll post the video in the thread now.
Hey guys, I made a video recently, discussing possible replacements to the LC. This doesn't necessarily mean I want to get rid of her right away, but lately I've been getting the itch to find a replacement - keep in mind I've had her for about 5 years now. https://youtu.be/sVduCCV6gXU
Been looking at the Lc500 for quite some time now, almost as long as I have been waiting for my meme stocks to do something, patience, patience. Lol Have been looking at the convertible although I have never owned a convertible and not sure if I would like one, so about 3 months ago I bought this and I find that I like a convertible. By the way I saw a Black LC500 in Oconomowoc Wi on Saturday, beautiful, anyone from the forum ? My new toy, grandson likes it to !
Man, that Vantage is beautiful.. The LC500 does have a better interior. Other than that it's a boring car compared to the new Vantage.
If you have the pennies go for the Vantage.

The Vantage is a nice car and offers ton of customization plus the brand prestige is on another level vs Lexus.
I recently test drove the new Vantage coupe and I would prefer LC500.
Vantage interior is not the best quality, the seating position and visibility is also not as good as the LC. You feel you’re sitting on top of the car instead of down low like in the LC.
I guess it all depends on what your look for. I own a number of GT coupes. While I found the LC500 beautiful. The car was boring compared to my Porsche. I double down and purchased a Bentley GT Speed. The car was so boring I sold it 8 months later. Now I'm looking for a Vantage or 911. I need a car I can take to the track and auto-cross but still drive to work occasionally.
