What Would You Replace Your LC With?
Bruce u will figure it out when the time comes.
I am staying patient in the hopes of a model soon that will have something kool and is a eyecatcher later in the cycle that will separate all past yrs from it. Never can tell what Lexus has cookin back there.

I would seriously consider an LS500H or LX700H if I have to consolidate my vehicles and LC has to go.
I wish they do another inspiration series of the LS500.
Looks awesome.

Ha!
No kidding @LS460SC430, I do like that the 2024 has the front camera (Means more to me than a touchscreen). I haven’t completely ruled out the 2024 but strongly leaning 22-23. Elegance is a big factor for me in what I consider a sophisticated and elegant car. I am pretty flexible on exterior colors as the LC 500 looks great in a variety of them. Maybe I don’t “need” the DHP but owners who have it seem to really enjoy it.

[QUOTE=np20412;11849830]I had no idea the LS has passenger seat movement control centrally.
My 2006 LS430 that i just sold had passenger seat movement control centrally. 20 years later and I can't get it for my LC?

Yes DHP isn’t available in the convertible models but I’m buying the coupe. Buying used the DHP comes at a relative discount compared to a new model. I just like what comes included overall. Yamaha dampers, Torsen differential, rear wheel steering, variable gear steering and carbon fiber roof and door sills. Nice package IMO.

I am glad to only be mildly enamored with CF. I more appreciate it when it is accomplishing a purpose other than just looking cool. I winced hearing the LC CF roof was $15,000. Of all the material to make a consumer car out of CF doesn't seem real smart to me. I know it doesn't like high ambient heat, water and UV. I'd definitely Not get it if I planned on keeping mine long term especially if I lived in a very hot part of the country.
And, it's not like you are going to notice any CF weight savings in the drive of such a land barge as the LC.
But yeah, it IS cool to look at.

Well I can’t make the case that the carbon fiber roof saves any meaningful weight but it looks terrific to me and adds to the existing exceptional aesthetics. The LC 500 has been around since 2018 and I have not seen any reports concerning durability or longevity issues. I imagine it holds up as well as the glass roof alternative.
Sorry I think it's completely illogical to think that CF has the duribility of automotvie glass.
You must not watch much Formula 1.
CF disintegrates into bazillions of tiny glass shards if you just stare and it meanly and scream loudly at it.

My point is that the LC 500 has been in production 8 years. Long enough for problems to emerge and owners to complain and voice concerns, not happening as far as I know. I recently saw a 2019 for sale at a local Audi dealer and its CF roof was flawless in appearance. Anyway it seems to me that Lexus figured out proper manufacturing technique for their top of the line model. Any current CF roof owners who’d like to chime in?

and very different cars.
