What Would You Replace Your LC With?
I don’t have any serious issues with the 'tech' in my 2018. I generally inactivate all that I can. But regardless, you absolutely have to be mindful that some ‘tech’ is common sense dependent. Trusting ‘tech’ to make the best decision in all circumstances is just a recipe for disaster. We all know that!

My wife gave me ***** for spending 151k Canadian on a "lexus" when we already have so many "lexus" at home. Especially since it was replacing my Maserati Granturismo which has infinitely more clot than a Lexus. You can point out all the problems with the tech that you like, but I would argue its moot because Lexus built this car to a price point. This is the most amount of money they are willing to throw at a low volume, loss leading car. Each LC sold they lose money on. They'll never make back the development costs, the engineering, the materials, labor, etc that went into a car that only moved less than 2000 units from 2018 till now.
edit: the only competitor for a NA v8 i can think of is the Corvette and the Mustang. Both are cheaper and arguably less reliable than the LC. Both have similar amounts of "tech" if you care about that sort of thing. But then you can get more tech in a model 3 thats both faster, cheaper, and an EV for 50k. Lexus has never been known for their tech, most of the time they are years behind the competition with their infotainment and other weird user interfaces.

New member here.
I currently have a 2020 M2 Competition 6MT, and I am looking to order an MY2023 LC500 coupe. The grass is not always greener from the other side. I actually am looking forward to LC ownership; it's exactly what I'm looking for in a weekend toy.

really? you're gonna be disappointed in the LC's performance coming from such a track oriented car. If youre okay with having probably less than half the trackability of the m2 comp, then you'll be okay. But for comfort and great sounding engine/exhaust, LC is pretty good

I'm also sick of seeing cheap plastic everywhere in the M2C

I'm going for the Bespoke Orange interior for the LC, and it's gorgeous!
I don't track the M2C. I realized the other day I mostly just do weekend cruises in it. Which is what the LC excels at, not so much the M2C.

I did find one dealer who was more willing to work with me, to get ONLY the options I want, at my exact specifications.
He told me there's no waiting list; he's just waiting on MY2023 allocations, and once he has those, I'm first in line for a spot. Also no ADM; he said I would be able to get it at MSRP.
(Apparently no one in Georgia wants to buy an LC; seems like everyone just buys 911's here, which I have zero interest in.)
I reached out to my guy again today and I'm waiting for his call back later today; I'll keep you posted.

its a Lexus bro. it doesn't have the brand clot as the Germans or Italians. To spend 100k+ on a car with such average brand prestige is shocking for normal consumers ......Lexus built this car to a price point. i'd a seriously considered it ( you can get an orange leather steering wheel for a grand + install)
For pure luxury GT cars, there's nothing else like it with the build quality, NA 5.0L V8, and gorgeous interior to match it.
I test drove a 992 several times and I was honestly just so BORED with it. It was like driving a video game. Not sure what the heck happened to the Germans, but they seem to have lost their edge.
Don't even get me started on all of BMW's new M's. It's like they're trying to purposefully make each and every car as ugly as possible.
I love German and Italian cars. I’m just tired of paying for them and making excuses for their faults.
I stopped lying to myself as well. A purpose built sports machine (any GT3 or GT2 911) is way beyond my ability and nothing like how I’ll drive it. Same with any exotic cars. Way too much car and not what I’ll use it for.

I think as a car-enthusiast, it's actually a handicap to pigeon-hole onself to be a brand loyalist. For me - I like cars that fit what I'm looking for in a car - exterior/interior design, features, fun factor, exclusivity/special, etc.
I think for a long time, German cars held a spot in my heart because they mostly made what I really liked; but in recent years, they went in a direction that I found disturbing.
