From Melbourne Lexus today when I had my 20k mile service. I was about 10' away watching them through glass.

I also meant to say. I did physically see what I am sure was him setting in the oil amount on the bulk filler. So I'm pretty sure they just manually set how much oil Based On What The Service Screen Tells them.

i have no doubt what you say is true and obviously a number of people on here now (including you and me) have had their LC's overfilled by the dealerships. it's pretty terrible.
it was quite the challenge getting the pump and removing the excess oil but i'm glad i did it and know how to do it going forward should it happen again.

 

Told them TWICE while getting the Service Write up.
Might as well have been talking to the wall.
