Big difference between black hood and carbon fiber hood..you see carbon fiber hoods on luxury cars all the time!!

Default Couple teasers

I'll take better pics tmw but I installed my new carbon addict active aero wing, love love the look. This is the "low type" and I think it's perfect. The "high type" also looks good but I changed my mind last minute to keep it slightly more understated.

Default Some better pics

As promised some better daytime pics of the wing.

It did arrive with some clear coat damage due to shipping on one corner of the bottom piece so I am trying to work with my vendor to get a sand and reclear for the bottom piece. It was not packed very well unfortunately.

Both pieces of this wing combined weigh less than half of the single piece of wing on the OE active aero.

nice job! Looks really good. I’ve considered buying this (I would get the base painted OEM color I think as mine is white. I also looked at the Varis active wing, but the wait list is 1 year!! Cars looking good.

Thanks!

Varis is the wing I wanted because it can be adjusted with the active aero and it looks awesome in either position, but yes they told me 1 year also, even for the non-carbon frp version. I would have taken that and had it color matched if it was available sooner.

This one looks off when it's raised but thankfully the design of it means you don't really need to raise it for the look anyway.

The bottom piece is the one that came damaged for me. I thought about having it color matched since it needs to be sanded down to repair anyway but I'm afraid since it's a different material and USB is tough to match and blend that it won't look great, so sticking with the carbon look

The lip likely will actually 100% cover it but I will go get a quote to see what it'll cost to cut away the damage and replace with a seam (rather than replace entire bumper ppf) since the lip will hide it anyway. If more than $100 I will just leave it and let the lip cover it up

I did a little surgery today and was able to repair this. I very carefully cut away the PPF and placed a patch. You can see one of the seams on the patch if you get up close, but it'll be covered by my lip anyway once I install that. The PPF did 90% of its job, only one small scratch thru the paint to the black bumper towards the bottom edge (must be where first contact occurred). Here's the after:

MODS--can you please post something up top telling members to stop quoting photos in replies.

And maybe you guys who are posting 30 pics of your mod could perhaps start your own thread with your photos and such?

Seems like the wrong thread to post photos of your exhaust and other parts.

Figured posting here was better than a new thread for each mod but I guess I can make a build thread and do it that way
