Good point...just cutting the nipple off the jacking puck and not using the 2x4 or subbing the 2x4 with a 4x4 is also a good option.
Note: I'm not underneath the car at any time during the jacking process.
I've gone just straight metal to metal from the jack to the diff to raise the rear. Last few times I shoved the slotted jack puck that I usually use for the side jacking points in between, but I don't always. Am I risking anything? This is how it's shown in the manual, just straight jack saddle to diff.
I have used a hockey puck on German cars before. Some of the jacking points are inside a small recessed area in the plastic under panel. The jacks lifting pad is too wide and will crush the plastic and I didn't have the specific jacking pad.
But I do have a bunch of hockey pucks, worked great!!
Might try the same on the LC.
I have also used a hockey puck before, works perfectly.

I have jacked like this as well, no noticeable damage at all. We're just elevating the car for a short period of time anyway to install jack stands or wood cribs...probably no big deal for the differential.
The jacking puck idea just kind of carried over from jacking my 2014 Maserati GT. It has holes in the frame for the overhead cranes to carry the chassis along the assembly lines that just happen to be the perfect size for the puck.

Does anyone find this picture @np20412 posted kinda erotic? 🤣
was at the PO in Surfside beach SC and low and behold was my Infrared LC but was a vert. Talked with the gent, loves the car wanted a coupe but the Mrs. won out on the vert. Gave me a 6K RPM B4 he left. I told him thanks, that should hold me over till I get back to NH.
Had the car shipped to Rancho Mirage California for an extended stay. During the week I've been here I've seen three LC 500's in the area.
Fantastic weather in the desert this time of year. Now that the car is cleaned up, top down tomorrow.
Just a pic of the skirts, another few weeks before I put the entire kit on
I'm gonna have to test fit the skirts to see if they still allow the quickjack use, or make it so they're removable. Overall quality is real nice, though!
What is it that I'm missing when people make their hood all black with a white car? Each to their own and you like what you like, but I think it just looks off on a car like this. Maybe on a Subaru WRX or a muscle car, but not a luxury car.
