Anyone know where I can get front tires in the Bay Area? Every store I’ve called has them on back order with no eta.

finally found a set after calling about 30 shops around. It was the fronts I was having a hard time finding. Should be getting them installed next week along with my lowering springs and wheel spacers.

New owner here (as of 6/24) and I'm looking to get rid of the runflats that are currently on the car and swap them for Michelin PSAS4. I currently have the 20" wheels and the stock size 275/40/20 are on backorder until 7/29, but they have 285/35/20 that they can install right away. I like the extra width but the rear tire diameter is 0.8" smaller than stock, so I have a few questions/thoughts:

• Any concerns with this setup in the back?
• Will that height difference create any handling weirdness, since presumably that would drop the rear axle by 0.4"?
• I wonder if the wheel gap would change noticeably and look weird relative to the front.

i wouldn't want tires that are nearly an inch smaller in diameter on the car because i think it will be visibly noticeable as 'small' in the wheel opening. backorder of the right size for a month is no big deal to me. i'd wait.

Don't do it. Not only will it look strange (wrong), but the front tires, assuming stock size of 245/45/20, will be taller, and the LC will have pointed up appearance. The LC was designed for the same tire OD front to rear. Not sure if the speedometer is controlled by the front or rear axle. Wait the month for the correct size, or buy them here:

The smart move would be to continue to roll on the RF’s. Give yourself time to get a matched set of your preference. If you ever considered new wheels, that's an excellent reason to delay this purchase.

wear the runflats out and like most of us, goto the conventional tire.

I'm new to this forum; just bought a 2022 LC 500 convertible. I have a couple of comments/questions regarding the tire discussion.

My understanding is that once a RF tire is used without air pressure (running flat), it should be replaced regardless of where the puncture is located, if it was driven on for any distance. This is because, even though the tire allowed for limping home, it has been over stressed due to operating without air pressure support and may have suffered internal structural damage to the point of compromising safety. So, does anyone have experience with a Lexus dealership repairing a punctured RFT?

Regarding changing the tire OD for the front tires, wouldn't that affect the speedometer or possibly the electronic stability control?

Don't think the dealer will ever repair a RF tire. Replace only.....I caught a nail in mine and plugged it myself even tho I wasn't supposed to. But in my case, tire never lost pressure and No subsequent problems with tire.

congrats on the LC! did you already get a punchure? if so, sorry to hear! i don't know about run flats, sorry.

it would affect the speedometer, yes, but if a tire is 2% bigger diameter for example, that's only 1.2mph at 60mph, so no biggy imo.

The most common upsized front tire size for the LC is from 245/40/21 to 255/40/21 - OD is 28.7" vs 29.0" or only 1% difference, so nothing to be concerned about. BTW I went with non RFTs very early in my LCs life. 295/35/21 and 255/40/21.
