I will get the kerb damage on 3 rims repaired and these fitted, hope I will like the way they drive..
High-load tires are designed for heavy vehicles, such as EVs.

Perfect.
So they can withstand the blistering acceleration of the LC and will be nicely stiff in the steering response department...
I hope..

The Michelin Pilot Sport 4S HL255/40ZR21 (105Y) MO1 and HL285/35ZR21 (108Y) MO1 tires are an OEM option for the 2025 and newer Mercedes AMG S63 E Performance sedan. This is indeed a very heavy (5,831 lbs) and powerful (791 hp, 1,055 lb-ft) sport sedan.

As per Michelin, the heavy load (HL) sizing format is an updated standard for the E-Metric extra-load (XL) sizing format. These specific Pilot Sport 4S tires have an extremely high speed-index rating, the highest ultra-high performance/UHP rating.

Using these tires on a lighter and less powerful car (LC500) should give good performance and longevity, as the tire will not be working as hard as intended.

I'm just assuming the HL tire is a lot heaver. Will this degrade performance on the LC?

Actually, these specific Michelin PS4S HL tires weigh less than the OEM Michelin tires. Which is another benefit.

The 2024 and newer LC500 OEM Michelin Pilot Sport S5 245/40R21 (96Y) LEX and 275/35R21 (99Y) LEX tires weigh 27.1 lbs and 28.8 lbs respectively. The larger PS4S HL tires weigh 25.7 lbs and 28.1 lbs respectively.
