Well, looks like I'll have to stay with the 275 rear. I don't see the Pilot Sport AS 4 in a 285/35ZR21, just the 275/35ZR21.

^^^^IMHO, a bad idea:

1, A hard to find size in a summer tire. The Pirelli is the only summer tire I'm aware of in that size.

2. 295/40/21 needs at least a 10" wide wheel. The stock LC wheel is 9½" wide.

3. The OD (outer diameter) of the stock 275/35/21 tire is 28.5". It's 30.3" for a 295/40/21. That to me is too far out of spec. - Note: I run a 295/35/21 on 10.5" wide wheels and that OD is 29.1"

Just putting this question out there in case anyone has already tried it

Has anyone tried putting more meat on their tyres for better compliance/ride comfort while at stock ride height? There seems to be enough of a fender gap to accommodate this but of course I can't be sure

Something like 245/45/21s on the front and 275/40/21s or even 285/40/21s on the rear?

Hello!
This is my first post. I have a LC 500 dynamic package ordered that thankfully has not been canceled by the company as of now. I was wondering if its possible to check what tires they will put onto the vehicle while production is happening, or if we can give them a preference. I will be talking to my sales rep tomorrow about this as well, but I just wanted to see if anyone in the community tried to inquire anything similar to this. If nothing can be done, I hope I get the Michelins!

first off, congrats on the order! another DH pkg owner here.
i doubt you'll be able to influence what comes from the factory, but MAYBE the dealer will be able to swap out tires.

mine came with dunlops and they're fine except a bit noisy on rough roads. obviously i've not experienced any other tires to compare.

When I placed my order the dealer made a note of my request for Michelin tires as well. They were not convinced it would happen and were quite up front that they had little influence over what I would end up with as far as tires were concerned.
